My Cat hates tuna, but likes ice-cream

First it’s America, land of the fat. Now, our bad habits are spreading to our pets.

Tara and I adopted a cat last week, and have been trying to figure out what it likes. It hates tuna. It hates the cat treats we bought. We were eating ice cream last night, and guess what? The thing practically tore away the bowl to horde more for itself.

I don’t know what the world’s coming to. Did I mention we tried warm milk too? All my stereotypes are falling apart…

Haha. Yeah, my cat is a big dairy fan, save for actual milk, so it doesn't surprise me. My cat won't touch tuna either- he'll sniff at it a bit, but never so much as taste it. However, if I put him near ice cream or yogurt, he goes crazy to the point of growling at me if I try to take my ice cream back. Spoiled kitty. America: Land of the Obese Kitties :P

Maybe it’s for the best? Tuna and milk are supposed to give cats upset stomachs…or so the vets claim (despite generations of common knowledge). Actually it doesn’t sound too wierd to me. My cat refuses to eat anything BUT cat food. No fish, no milk, not even cream! Actually she liked yogurt a bit, stole my spoon and cleaned it for me. However, mine has the excuse of being an ‘american’ shorthair. :D
