Street Sweeping is a Disservice

The street isn’t even dirty! These bastards come through once every two weeks on prime-numbered days and expect us to remember.
They could at least just honk and let me know to move my car instead of giving me a ticket each time.
Who the hell builds houses without driveways anyways? Didn’t they see this coming? :)
Seriously though, I worry that “services” like these that end up being a big fundraiser for the city at the expense of it’s citizens are a broken idea.

getting a ticket on prime numbered days might be cheaper than paying for a garage or parking space.

Don't feel bad, dear Kevin, I usually forget about the dreaded street cleaning day as well. I just take my anger out by yelling "FUUCK!" as I run down the stairs to see the cleaner screaming by my station wagon.
we sweep our own little section of the street in my neighborhood...the only time I ever see a sweeper is when the township decides to rip up the macadam and for some reson it must be clean before they do so...after, they let us deal with it...ah, our taxes at work...Hmpf!
